Monday morning in Tracy's class we went in depth about the different ways to coteach. The CT's had a meeting about coteaching on Thursday and my teacher decided that I will be taking over the math planning after Spring Break. My CT and I also discussed that we'll be moving into coteaching math together with me slowly taking over as lead. Wednesday's class brought about the difference between a close read module and a cloze read module. Close read is when you examine the text carefully aspects you want students to notice while a cloze read (pictured above) is more of a warm up or vocabulary game. The online module for our Friday class was about universal design for learning which when I was first reading about it assumed it was just a fancy way of saying differentiated instruction. Universal design focuses on the 4 learning styles of the student and the planning teachers can make for the learners that learn best in certain ways.
And that's all for this week,
